Celeb Twitter Round-Up: ProVerb Picks up MBA

It’s not every day when a celeb broadcasts that they are a lifelong learner, and ProVerb recently gained another qualification.

The 44-year-old rapper – whose real name is Tebogo Thekisho – shared the good news via social media on Monday, 2 March.

“MBA officially done. Graduation loading. Deeply thankful. On to the next chapter,” was the caption, along with a photo of himself smiling in a business suit and holding an academic cap, along with his study results.

ProVerb completed his Bachelor of Business Administration in 2025, and this year he obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Regenesys Business School in Sandton, Johannesburg.

He recently told a local publication that growing up in a family of academics – his father is a doctor and his late mother a professor at the University of the North West – encouraged his thirst for knowledge and personal ambition.

Everyone loves an uplifting story and South African tweeps had plenty of joy to share for one of their own.

There was even one soul who was also looking for a way to improve herself.

As always on these social media streets, there are those who can’t stand to see good news and must cause a stink.

Then there was the odd compliment too!

It goes to show that studying is for anyone and everyone, and that being a life-long learner is something to aspire to, and be proud of. Education is truly the one thing that no one can take away from you!
